Common questions
Quick answers
How do I permanently delete my account?
- Open SkillSwap and select Me.
- Open Settings.
- Select Delete account.
- Enter your current password, confirm that you understand deletion cannot be undone, and complete the final confirmation.
Deletion takes effect immediately and has no cooling-off period. The protected review and administrator demonstration accounts cannot be deleted.
What happens when I delete my account?
Your profile, skill tags, posts, comments, interactions, private account data, and lawfully deletable chat data are removed. Active swaps are canceled and unfinished coin orders are closed. Reports are retained in anonymized form for safety enforcement, and information required by law may be retained.
How do I request an App Store purchase refund?
Refund decisions are made by Apple. Use Apple's purchase history or its official problem-reporting service, find the SkillSwap coin purchase, and select the refund option. Include your order information when contacting SkillSwap support about a purchase.
How do I report a member or content?
Reports are available from member profiles, post details, chat, and the Safety Centre. A case number is issued after submission. Your report identity is not shown to the reported member.
How do I appeal a moderation decision?
Submit one appeal with additional explanation or new evidence from Report status or Help and appeals in the app. You can also email akselravn25@icloud.com and include the case number.
Why does the app request camera, microphone, or photo access?
SkillSwap requests access only when you use a related feature: camera access for profile or post media and video interfaces, microphone access for voice messages and call interfaces, and photo access for selecting profile or post media. You can change permissions in system settings.
Where can I manage blocked members?
Open Me > Settings > Blocked users. Unblocking restores visibility of public content but does not restore previous conversations or matches.
